Working with me
If you’re interested in working together, I will ask you to share a manuscript sample, some details about the project and its needs at this point, and any important information about your own timeline for working on the project. From there, I will quote a fee based on the length and editing needs of the manuscript. If at that point you would like to hire me, I will send you a contract laying out the terms of our agreement, including a mutually agreed-upon plan for the editing work I will do and a schedule for completing that work.
Some people are not sure exactly what they need at first, and that’s okay! In that case, it may make sense to begin with a Manuscript Assessment (see my page on developmental editing). And if you would like to add any services down the line, you’re welcome to do that as well. Of course, my goal is to work with you to create an editing plan that suits your budget and your manuscript’s needs.
